Hyeyun Keum

Hyeyun was born in Gwangmyeong and raised in Goyang, South Korea. She completed her undergraduate studies at the department of chemistry, Seoul National University. While at SNU, she performed research under Professor Tae-Lim Choi studying the selective cyclopolymerization using ruthenium catalysts. During her undergraduate degree, she discovered her passion for organic chemistry. After graduating, Hyeyun moved to Professor Sukbok Chang’s group in Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). Now her interest is focused on developing C–H amination reactions using photochemistry.
