Dr. Beomsoon Park

Beomsoon was raised in Gumi, South Korea. He completed his bachelor's degree in chemistry at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). During his undergraduate research program, he found interest in catalytic reactions. Subsequently, he pursued his doctoral degree under the guidance of Prof. Soon Hyeok Hong. In graduate school, he studied various fields of organic chemistry. Now, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the IBS Center for Catalytic Hydrocarbon Functionalizations. Currently, he is focusing on transition metal-catalyzed C-H functionalizations through various approaches.
